Ingredients Used

      

We use beautiful high quality plant based ingredients such as shea butter, cocoa butter, and plant carrier oils, all rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins and nutrients that are great for the skin, together with natural plant based extracts, clays, floral & botanical hydrosols, and high quality exquisite essential oils to gently scent products and make them smell divine. We use ingredients that have had the least amount of processing where possible, such as un-refined shea butter, and carrier oils that have not been refined or had their natural odour or colour removed. We believe in using plant based ingredients that have the most nutrient potential so that it can offer the skin more benefits.

*Disclaimer - Some of these beautiful natural oils and butters might not be suitable for those with nut allergies. And while all of the skincare products available are very gentle, none of the items are suitable for use on children under three years old, or animals.

Shea Butter:  Extracted from shea nuts derived from the karite tree. A beautiful nourishing creamy plant butter. Shea Butter is very regenerative and melts into the skin with a luxurious velvety feel. Helps restore elasticity. Is very softening and moisturising with emollient and protective properties. Packed with vitamins, minerals, proteins and essential fatty acids that also offer anti-ageing benefits. 

Cocoa Butter:  Derived from the cacao bean. A rich nourishing plant butter. Packed with antioxidants that help fight free radicals in the skin. Imparts a beautiful velvety feel to skincare formulations. 

Coconut Oil:  Extracted from the inside of the coconut. Excellent as a moisturiser for the skin and hair, helping protect and replenish. Very nourishing, as well as excellent in the treatment of problem skin due to it's high lauric acid content. Has great emollient properties. The unrefined version smells divine.  

Avocado Oil:  Extracted from the inner fruit of the avocado. Recognised as a high performance anti-ageing oil. An excellent nourishing oil, rich, moisturising and very helpful with anti-ageing. A beautiful green colour. High in essential fatty acids, has lots of minerals such as potassium, magnesium and phosphorus. Contains Vitamin A & D, and is rich in Lecithin. Helps skin elasticity. An excellent moisturiser. Very regenerating, helps relieve dryness and itching with anti-inflammatory properties. 

Jojoba Oil:  Extracted from the kernels of the jojoba plant. Similar in structure to the natural sebum found in skin, making it highly compatible with the skin and less likely to clog pores. An excellent non-greasy moisturiser with very nourishing rejuvenating properties. Has high levels of Vitamin E, with antioxidant and emollient properties. Very moisturising with a luxurious velvety feel that improves skin elasticity and suppleness. 

Sweet Almond Oil:  Extracted from almonds. Contains Vitamins A and E. Helps moisturise & soften, very soothing for irritated skin. Also rich in proteins and Vitamin D. Helps with skin regeneration. 

Hazelnut Oil:  Derived from hazelnut kernels. Very moisturising with a fast absorption rate. Helps tone and maintain elasticity with a luxurious feel on the skin, smells divine with a mild hazelnut aroma.

Cherry Kernel Oil:  Extracted from cherry kernels. Packed with natural antioxidants, alpha, delta and gamma tocopherols, together with Vitamins A & E. Great for anti-ageing and dry skin. Helps relieve inflammation. Has a delicious mild cherry scent.

Sunflower Oil:  Derived from sunflower seeds. High in Vitamins A, B, D & E. Contains lecithin, high in linoleic fatty acid. Helps with dry damaged skin, eczema and skin repair. Sunflower oil is very light and nourishing for the skin.

Camellia Oil:  Also known as Tea Seed Oil, derived from the camellia tree, which is the same plant used to cultivate tea world wide. Recognised as a high performance anti-ageing oil. Has a fast absorption rate and won't clog pores. An excellent moisturiser that is considered a precious oil in some cultures. Imparts a smooth and supple feeling. Very rich in essential fatty acids and oleic acid. Contains Vitamins A, B, E and squalene. Emollient, moisturising, nourishing, regenerating. Protects the skin, hydrates the skin, has fantastic anti-ageing benefits. 

Cacay Oil:  Cold Pressed from the seed of the Cacay tree. Cacay oil is renowned as a high performance anti-ageing oil. It is quickly absorbed into the skin with a light feel. Very rich in Vitamins A, E and Retinol, it contains three times more Retinol than other well known anti-ageing oils. Has a high concentration of antioxidants which help support and encourage a more youthful healthy skin. Has deeply moisturising properties, with powerful anti-ageing benefits.  

Argan Oil:  Extracted from the nuts of the Argan tree. Recognised as a high performance anti-ageing oil. High in omega-6 fatty acids and abundant in Vitamin A & E, making it a powerful antioxidant. Very regenerative and nourishing to the skin and hair. High in oleic and linoleic acid. Helps maintain skin elasticity. Has excellent softening, moisturising and emollient properties. Helps relieve inflammation and will not clog pores.

Rosehip Oil:  Obtained from rosehip seeds. Recognised as a high performance anti-ageing oil with a fast absorption rate. Contains carotenoids and Vitamin A, very high in essential fatty acids which makes it excellent for anti-ageing. Helps with scars, fine lines and wrinkles. 

Passionfruit Seed Oil:  Also known as Maracuja oil, long used by the ancient Aztecs. Derived from Passionfruit seeds. High in linoleic acid and vitamin E. Has anti-inflammatory properties, and helps with dry itchy skin with a fast absorption rate. Has a mild lovely passionfruit aroma. 

Plum Kernel Oil:  A cold pressed oil, with a high Vitamin E content. Very moisturising with a satin feel. Has excellent anti-ageing benefits. Helps with dry irritated skin. 

Carrot Oil:  Extracted from Carrots. Rich in Vitamins A & E, beta carotene and carotenoids. Excellent at revitalising skin cells, has natural antioxidant properties with anti-ageing benefits.

Monoi de Tahite - Infused Coconut Oil:  This is an exquisite macerated oil which incorporates a divine blend of Coconut oil and Tahitian Gardenia oil. Has a very similar scent to sweet Jasmine. Embodying all of the same qualities as coconut oil, with the added intoxicating sunny scent of floral gardenia. One of our favourites! Coconut oil on it's own is excellent as a moisturiser for the skin and hair, helping protect and replenish. Very nourishing with great emollient properties. A supreme oil that evokes a relaxing summer garden.

Fractionated Coconut Oil - (Palm Free):  Derived from coconuts. Has excellent emollient properties, imparting a silky smooth feel when applied to the skin.

Distilled Water - Aqua:  We use pure distilled water in our emulsions. Purified, no flouride, no chlorine, and made in New Zealand. Very hydrating for the skin. While the oils and butters are very nourishing and rejuvenating, the skin needs extra hydration from water in skincare formulations. 

Vegetable Glycerine:  Acts as a powerful humectant that attracts and holds moisture to the skin, perfect for extra hydration with anti-ageing benefits.   

Neroli Hydrosol (citrus aurantium distillate):  Derived from the result of steam distillation. Otherwise known as Orange Blossom Water. A splendid floral water and toner that balances and hydrates. Invigorating, refreshing, slightly astringent which is also great for problem skin. With an exotic delightful scent.

Rose Hydrosol (rosa damascena distillate):  Resulting from the steam distillation of rose petals. A delicious gentle toner that hydrates with anti-ageing properties. Relaxing, refreshing, and uplifting. With an exquisite rose aroma. 

Frankincense Hydrosol:  The result of steam distillation. An excellent toner that hydrates and balances with anti-ageing benefits. Is anti-inflammatory, has gentle astringent properties that helps tighten pores and combat problem skin with antiseptic properties. 

Manuka Hydrosol:  The result of steam distillation. An excellent toner for hydrating and balancing problem skin types, is anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anti-fungal, has gentle astringent properties that help tighten pores. Has a sweet earthy, woodsy, somewhat coniferous aroma. 

Vitamin E Oil:  Natural Mixed Tocopherols. Vitamin E is found in many different plant oils, as well as inside our body, acting as a powerful antioxidant that is superb for the health of the skin, helping to prevent free radicals, with superb anti-ageing benefits. 

Rosemary Antioxidant:  Extracted from the evergreen rosemary shrub. A powerful antioxidant. Great for balancing the skin. With a subtle rosemary aroma. Has anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties.

Pink Clay:  Kaolin Clay, excellent for balancing the skin, helps cleanse, firm & brighten the complexion, helps remove dirt and excess oil, very cleansing and purifying for all skin types.

White Kaolin Clay:  Very fine white soft powder, very gentle on all skin types, helps cleanse, firm and brighten the complexion, helps remove dirt and excess oil, very cleansing and purifying. Has high levels of silica which helps with skin rejuvenation.

Green Clay:  Excellent cleansing action for all skin types. Great for blemished, problem and oily skin. Helps remove dirt and excess oil, is very cleansing and purifying.

Green Tea Extract:  A powerful antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties that are great for sensitive skin and problem skin types. Contains compounds that are excellent for the skin such as caffeine, theanine, and theobromine. Offers excellent anti-ageing benefits. 

Papaya Extract:  Packed with phyto-compounds such as Amino Acids and Amine. Helps stimulate healthy new skin cells and clear the complexion. Has antioxidant and anti-ageing benefits with anti-inflammatory properties. 

Blueberry Extract:  A powerful antioxidant with excellent anti-ageing benefits. Has anti-inflammatory properties. Contains Organic Acids, Anthocyanins, Flavone Glycoside, Phenolics. 

Rosehip Extract:  A powerful antioxidant, contains many phyto-compounds that benefit the skin with fantastic anti-ageing support. 

Cucumber Extract:  Excellent for soothing irritated skin, refreshing, cooling, moisturising, anti-inflammatory, balancing and hydrating. Has powerful antioxidant properties. Contains phyto-compounds such as Amino Acids, Organic Acids and Flavonoid Glycosides. Excellent anti-ageing benefits.

Hyaluronic Acid:  Has excellent high performance anti-ageing benefits, a very hydrating active that can hold up to 1000 times it's own weight in water. Acts as a fast acting humectant to help smooth and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. We use the Vegan plant derived Hyaluronic Acid.

Jojoba Exfoliating Beads:  Derived from the jojoba shrub, fully hydrogenated jojoba plant wax. Very gentle on the skin due to it's waxy nature and spherical shape with no harsh edges, making it ideal for facial scrubs as it does not cause micro tears in the skin. Biodegradable and kind to the environment. 

Mica Colour:  We use natural mica powders in some of our products as a gentle colourant, in extremely small amounts, with micron sizes and compositions that are approved for safe use in cosmetic applications.

Jasmine Essential Oil:  Extracted from the beautiful delicate flowers. Noted as the King of Oils with an exquisite gentle scent and anti-ageing benefits. A beautiful deep sweet exotic floral aroma. A truly prized oil with one of the most beautiful of scents.

Sandalwood Essential Oil:  Extracted from the wood of the tree via steam distillation. A supreme alluring exotic oil with a soft rounded woody aroma, a wonderful base note that imparts a sense of calm and relaxation. Highly prized and regarded as a sacred oil in ancient cultures. Evokes a sense of the mystical and brings a feeling of well being. Because this prized oil is threatened by over exploitation, we don't use the Indian Sandalwood (santalum album) oil as that is threatened. Instead we use either Australian Sandalwood oil (santalum spicatum), or West Indian Sandalwood oil (amyris balsamifera) which are not threatened as a species. 

Frankincense Essential Oil:  Extracted via steam distillation from the resin that belongs to the group of Boswellia trees. Has antiseptic and astringent qualities. With an alluring woody balsamic scent that was prized by the ancient egyptians. 

Myrrh Essential Oil:  Extracted via steam distillation from the resin of the commiphora myrrha plant. Prized in ancient cultures as a sacred oil. Evokes a sense of the mystical with it's rich exotic woody aroma. Has antiseptic and antifungal properties. Imparts a sense of calm and relaxation. 

Petitgrain Essential Oil (Citrus Aurantium Amara):  Also known as Bitter Orange oil. Extracted by steam distillation from the leaves and the twigs of the seville orange tree. Has a beautiful green bitter orange aroma. Excellent for all skin types with balancing properties. Very zesty, refreshing and uplifting.

Neroli Essential Oil (Citrus Aurantium Amara):  Also known as Orange Blossom oil. Extracted by steam distillation from the flowers of the seville orange tree. Very similar to Petitgrain which is from the same tree, but imparts a more sweet intoxicating exotic floral aroma, which is highly prized in some cultures. Excellent for all skin types. Helps stimulate skin regeneration. Very uplifting, soothing and relaxing. Excellent for mind and spirit, evokes a sense of tranquility and peace. 

Sweet Orange Essential Oil:  Cold pressed, from the peel of the orange fruit. A very versatile essential oil with a fresh and sweet zesty orange aroma. Very uplifting, balancing and refreshing. 

Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil:  Cold pressed, from the peel of the grapefruit. Has antiseptic and astringent qualities that is excellent for cleansing and balancing the skin. Has a zesty citrus aroma. Very refreshing and uplifting. 

Rose Damascena Essential Oil:  Extracted from rose petals. A highly prized oil with an exquisite rose garden scent. Has anti-ageing skin benefits.

Rose Geranium Essential Oil:  Extracted via steam distillation from the leaves and stems of the geranium shrub. Has fantastic balancing skin benefits with a refreshing uplifting scent that is similar to rose, with a more herbaceous scent. 

Geranium Essential Oil:  Distilled from the leaves and the flowers, with a scent that is both herbaceous and sweet with mild rosey tones. A great oil for balancing all all skin types.

Palmarosa Essential Oil:  Extracted via steam distillation from the leaves, flowers and stalks. Beautiful sweet rosy/geranium-like scent. Offers excellent balancing and anti-ageing properties for skin regeneration. Has anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.

Lemon Essential Oil:  Cold pressed from the peel of the lemon fruit. Zesty uplifting citrus scent. Very cleansing, balancing and toning with antiseptic and astringent benefits.
